Some of you may have seen a comment I made in the FA thread the other day about a potential pick up that Donniebrasco was going to make, namely Mychal Kendricks.

Just so that everyone is clear about the rules, we do not allow owners to use players in their team who are:

A) Dead
B) In Prison

Examples:

A few years ago, Jovan Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs murdered his girfriend and then shot himself. Rob  Bironas, a punter with the Tennessee Titans, died in a car crash. These players then became off limits and owners were not allowed to pick them up.

With someone like Mychal Kendricks, who has pleaded guilty to insider trading, it's being reported that he faces up to 25 years in prison. I would imagine that it won't quite be so harsh as that, but it's likely that he will go down all the same. Should anyone pick this player up, then immediately he is sentenced, the player will need to be released and will be off limits.

We do not enforce this rule for players who have been suspended by the NFL for substance abuse. Some might argue we should, but this would complicate matters for owners. However, we won't allow deceased or incarcerated players to play.

If we did enforce the rule regarding substance abuse, Tru's Ravens would be f****d!
