LA Rams 14-17 Buffalo Bills

The Bills got their season up and running after surviving a late Rams comeback. Case Keenum drove the Rams downfield for an equalising score with about a minute left of regulation with a pass down the middle to Sammie Watkins, to tie the score at 14-14. Buffalo had earlier eased into a 14-0 lead with TDs from Dixon Nawrath and Zay Jones, before a pick 6 from rookie Jaron Patton reduced the arrears for the visiting team.

The late Watkins TD seemed to have done enough to force OT, but Tyrod Taylor, who started the game well but hit a rough patch in the 2nd half, managed to complete a couple of key passes before Kyle Brindza split the uprights with a game-winning FG as time expired.
