Cincinnati 21-27 Cleveland

The Browns' defense took a day off as they gave up 3 big plays to the visiting Bengals, all of which resulted in touchdowns, but thanks to a stellar performance from Latavius Murray, who rushed for over 200 yards on the day, they managed to thwart a late Cincinnati fightback.

It was looking comfortable for Cleveland as they ended the first quarter 10-0 ahead, courtesy of a Zane Gonzalez 33 yd FG and a 1 yd Murray rushing TD, but then the visitors hit back when Charles Sims III bused off a 69 run to score. But the Browns responded with another Murray run, before punts were exchanged, with the Browns pinning the Bengals back at their 6. Coach Dawg was expecting the run, but Dalton had other ideas as he floated a pass for Devin Funchess to catch and run for a 94 yard td. But the Browns managed to score again before time expires as Bradford hit Corey Coleman on a 49 yd pass. Coleman had come into the starting lineup after rookie Sanchez Travis got knocked out of the game with a dislocated knee, which has effectively ended his season, unless the Browns manage a late playoff run.

The second half turned into a war of attritition with the Browns mostly trying to run the ball and the Bengals closing many of the gaps that were open in the first half. The only score of the 3rd quarter was a Zane Gonzalez fg after Cleveland stalled in the red zone, before a late AJ Green TD made the final two minutes potentially interesting. But Cleveland were not to be denied and saw the game out to clinch a much-needed divisional win.
