Week 8 Game Reports

Post by GBDawg1 on Mon 26 Mar 2018, 7:48 pm

Seattle 14-24 Cleveland

A close game degenerated in the 3rd quarter as Russell Wilson had a meltdown and the Browns effectively put the game out of reach thanks to an offensive TD from Snchez Travis and a pick 6 from FS Zach Robinson.

The game had had a cagey start with the Browns going ahead on a Goinzalez FG before Wilson found his TE namesake Luke Wilson on a PA pass that left the Browns' defense floundering. Cleveland had to settle for another FG to close the gap to 7-6 and looked set to take another 3 pts on their next drive when Gonzalez' FG attempt was blocked.

But the 3rd quarter saw the Browns taking advantage of Wilson gunslinging and when a further FG was added, the game was effectively out of reach. Seattle did hit back inside the final two minutes, but when the attempted onside kick failed, the Browns ran down the clock.

Ravens -Bills

After punting and giving a TD on the very first play, the ravens where in trouble when they had their vintage int.

however the bills missed the field goal and where up 6 missing the XP as well.

ravens then took the lead and it pretty much remained that way.

bills mostly shot themselves in the foot and kizer looked great for the first time since coming to baltimore.

My first game. I struggled with the slow pace of the game and a new CPU level for me with a very powerful Cowboys team

Threw a pick 6 to top things off

Bears 10 - 27 Vikings

1st game too, 17-10 half way through the 3rd quarter Stephon Diggs' 102 yard kick off return sealed the win for the Vikings. Teddy Bridgewater beat the Bears with his scrambling and Dalvin Cook broke a couple of big runs, the Bears ineffective on stopping 3rd & long was also a factor. The only plus from this game is I won't face the Vikings again.  Laughing
A couple of niggles, especially the Vikings downing a punt on my one when the gunner ran into the endzone with the ball
