Player resigning

Post by GhettoBiggie on Fri 19 Jan 2018, 9:00 pm

As I took over Saints, I found all players in last year of contract in "not interested" state. Among others, Brees, Kikaha, Hill, Anthony... Can you somewhere check if player plans to retire (Brees)? Or is there some way to make them change their minds? Otherwise this makes quite a problem, as team is already broken and I can't re-sign any players (except Crawley which negotiation is in week 12). To be even in worse state, I can't draft that well also as I missed 9 weeks of scouting...

I have the same problem with some of my players. I suppose at least I will have cap room to make FA bids.
I don't think you know when a player will retire for sure. I think there might be some coaching attribute you can buy if you have enough XP.
As for the draft, I will probably let the cpu do it this season.

1)those who won't negotiate should / hopefully  become available end of season at resign stage,if not thst just dont want to sign .

2)no you can't find out if they will retire

3) scouting suggest you just scout needs.whatever left over go by rounds of picks

U can tag one of the are not interested(but just one). I think we can help guys who`s teams are broken(many players are not interested to resign): we wont try to sign those players during fre agency, but there manu cpu-teams in league now and cpu`s will try to sign them for sure

Thank you! If I started this season from beginning, I would never allow Brees or Kikaha to walk away without making them an offer they could not refuse

@GBDawg1 @Donniebrasco72 @tru11

Would you allow me to franchise tag one player? You know I would never allow Brees to walk away. My team lead by CPU is already enough punished

Everyone is allowed to franchise tag one player at the end of the season.
The other players might be a problem because as VL_Coach pointed out, the cpu teams will bid for them.

I totally forgot that franchise tag is game feature. Usually I re-sign my players immediately...

I would then appreciate if I could be allowed through free agency to re-sign Kikaha, Kuhn, Williams and Anthony before user teams can bid (all players that CPU made angry with contract offers)
