Week 5 Game Reports

Post by GBDawg1 on Mon 02 Oct 2017, 8:46 pm

NY Jets 3-26 Cleveland

The Browns eased to victory against a below-par NY Jets team who failed to capitalise on their opportunitites when they came. The evergreen Josh McCown did manage to complete a couple of big passes but was let down by his o-line and receivers dropping balls at crucial times.

Meanwhile, the Browns had gone ahead in the first quarter, courtesy of an Isaiah Crowell TD from 1 yd. Crowell had been struggling at that point to get into the game, but became more effective as the game progressed. The Browns added a Zane Gonzalex FG in the 2nd quarter, which was answered by a Chandler Catanzaro FG before Crowell added another short-run TD before the interval.

The third quarter saw Myles Garrett dump Josh McGown for a safety before the game was effectively wrapped up early in the 4th quarter by a Kolby Listenbee TD completion from Cody Kessler, who continues to keep out fit-again Deshone Kizer.

MVP: Cody Kessler - just did the simple thing effectively and no turnovers.

Footnote: the cameraman somehow missed one of Crowell's TDs

Patriots @ Buccaneers

At the end there was only one point in this game. Missed the extra point Smile
It shouldn't have been as close. The Buccaneers were terrible. Still can't run the ball.
5 interceptions this week. That makes it 2 TDs and 19 Interceptions in 5 games.

Oh well onwards and upwards

Oh and I picked a WR screen pass twice in this game.........but for some strange reason that wasn't the plays that transpired....but I still passed to the WR who should have been in the screen. Both times interceptions with Evans being called for O pass interference!! lol

Oh and Brady gets the Bucs MVP for his TD pass at the end haha  cheers
