Week 17 Reports

Post by GBDawg1 on Mon 13 Feb 2017, 7:18 pm

Baltimore 20-15 Cleveland

The Browns season ended on a disappointing note, as have so many games this season, as they fell at home to the playoff-bound Baltimore Ravens. The home team can quite rightly point to the fact that once again, Lady Luck did not smile on them, but in the end, there were two differences in this game: turnovers and Breshad Perriman. The Ravens won the turnover battle 3-0, all of which were courtesy of interceptions from Blake Bortles, who threw one towards the end of the 2nd quarter which resulted in one of Perriman's touchdowns. The final one was on the Browns' last drive, when a missed Justin Tucker FG left Cleveland with a chance to win it. When the Browns did manage to force two fumbles, both were recovered by the visitors, although one of these resulted in a safety.

Meanwhile, speedster Perriman was getting behind the Browns' secondary on a regular basis and ended with all 3 Ravens' touchdowns.

The Browns now look towards the post-season to see what business they can do to freshen up their roster after posting their all-time worst record. The Ravens now march on into the playoffs. Can they go all the way again?
