O-Line

Post by Chimpy_Nuts on Mon 09 Jan 2017, 8:59 pm

Does a good oline make a difference? I couldn't run or pass with the Jets average oline but I also cant do it with the cowboys oline. Tyron Smith got 99 pass block and he got ran around a few times in my last game.

Wondering if I should trade them because they don't seem to help me. Lol

The pass blocking on the sliders are at 15 so they are quite low. I'm having the same issue with Trent Williams. Supposedly the 4th best ranked LT yet he has given up 6 sacks already this season.

I think that impact blocking plays a bigger part this year but that is still no excuse for Smith to give up 3 sacks in a game.

Doesn't seem like sometimes though, seems more. I'm not trying to get the sliders changed coz I know that's not gonna happen.

I just want to know if they are worth keeping. Could I get by just aswell with average players on the line

You would probably be better off getting rid of smith for something in exchange. He's not worth it and u could get a lot for him.

In actual fact, the sliders have been changed a number of times - although the tweaking tends to go on in pre-season.

It's apparent that some have mastered the art of how to run the ball this year and some haven't. You just need to look at the game stats from any of the games to see who is in the first category.

I play same scheme as usual in madden, and have nice running game.
Pass protection - no clue how its works, sometimes my oline like a brick wall and sometimes 3 man rush and I get sacked in 2 seconds

My Offensive Line is quite old and is frankly terrible.

I do have a quality RB, and I have a TE and FB who can both run block.

It took me 3-4 weeks to learn and get it going, and I have had games where I cannot run it at all.

They struggle to pass block though.

Whitworth retired at the end of last season and I thought the LT spot would turn into a weak point for me. I've noticed no difference though tbh

i have no idea TBH.

yanda is supposed to be the best guard in the game but is terrible on most occasions.
stanley same thing.

zuttah and jensen however seem to be better then expected.

im pretty much speculating that its tied to your QBs AWR/traits on pass plays and to the RB BCV.

not sure but AWR overall probably means something in this game.

with the low slider the higher rated players should be better though.
