Daylight Saving

Post by GBDawg1 on Fri 28 Oct 2016, 8:46 pm

Just a reminder to everyone that the clocks go back an hour on Sunday morning at 3 am.

The exceptions to this are in Russia and Belarus, who can't be bothered to change their clocks. What this means is that the time "gap" will increase by an hour for those in these areas so please bear this in mind when arranging your games. Mishgek in particular, who lives way east, will be UK +5, so I'm sure would appreciate early starts.

I will update the owners' list tomorrow night to reflect the new time differences.

May I remind everyone that the clocks in Northern Europe went forward one hour today. We have some owners who live in areas that do not have daylight saving, which means their timezone will be an hour closer to UK and Continental Europe with effect from today. The owners' list has been updated accordingly.

Clocks in Northern Europe go back at 2 am tomorrow morning (Sunday 29th).
This means that for the next week, our solitary US owner is an hour closer to us (UK -5 and CET -6) until the US clocks change next weekend.

Please note the change is you are playing a game vs Chicago. Check the owners' list because a couple of areas do not operate daylight saving.

A reminder that clocks in the USA go back one our on Sunday 5th November at 2 am.

This means that our solitary US owner of the Chicago Bears (who is on US Central time) will return to UK -6 hours as of Sunday.

It's that time of year again, where the clocks go forward this weekend in the UK and Northern Europe.

Note that we have 3 owners at present who do not have to go through the hassle of fiddling with clocks, changing heating timers and so on, namely:

Denver
Arizona
Kansas City

What this means is that they will all be one hour closer to UK/European time from Sunday 25th onwards. I will update their timezones on the owners' list on Saturday evening.
