Out of everything, my biggest issues were the fumbles and broken tackles.

We will need to tone these down otherwise people - including me - will get pissed off. OK, my team is a huge pile of doggies' doings - I suspect the biggest I have ever had in the history of this league - but to see 33 year old DeAngelo Williams waltzing through my defense with gay abandon, breaking tackles at will, was a tad annoying.

And whilst I accept that what Matty says in part about the QB fumbles may be true, there was one where the replay clearly showed his arm having forward momentum with the ball and the ball actually got propelled several yards: it wasn't one of those where the ball lands close to the QB's feet.

Well, if I thought I was unlucky in my last game, a 38-9 drubbing was waiting for me in my next one.

4 interceptions by McCown. God knows how many drops but the game claimed I only had one in the stats, but it was drop after drop, while the Eli Manning completed passes at will.

I had penalties of 8-62 yards. The cpu had some this time too, 3-19. What I found annoying was Randy Starks, who is a seasoned veteran, got called 4 times for encroachment. Not saying he might not do it once in a game, but 4 times (not controlled by me, I hasten to add).

One interesting moment saw Manning called for an illegal forward pass.

I think we need some further adjustment on the sliders. Couldn't run anywhere this game. Couldn't catch; QB throws were wayward at times (admittedly McCown and RGIII are useless so anything on target is a bonus) and worries me the way CBs get beaten easily over the top on streaks. Penalties seem over the top.

Thought I had improved a bit at kicking but then missed another PAT.

Have you learned what exactly the new zone do it helps, also using overtop coverage.

Drops is being fixed in patch apparently but people been told you need to you possesion catch and check catch rating.

Running advice just use left stick, check your run block and impact rating strength and awareness.

Need to play it and learn again, its nothing like previous madden.

George. I've seen 4 or 5 different sliders and am wondering which ones you're using.

Personally, I think they're going for realism and are making it overly complicated for those who play it casually. I can't really be bothered to learn all the different types of throw and catch, as well as multiple different styles of coverage etc.

It's good to see them put in the effort, but they may have gone too far in one direction.

Thinks that's only direction it should go,everyone always wants more realistic sim games.

I'm for more realism, but not if it leads to over-complicated controllers and fiddly motions.

It's going to favour the better players even more than before which is fair enough.

controls are still the same.

nothing has changed tbh.

it only looks better then last year and plays a bit smoother.

its far from a simulation.

they added some animations but the new run stuff its quite the opposite of realism lol

Started a franchise with Dallas and started 3-0 on all pro without giving up a single TD. Bumped it up to all madden and it was a tougher game. I won the game on a final winning drive but early on I struggled completing a pass.

Do far I'm liking the game. It seems more like the older madden games in terms of enjoyment. Also seems easier than the last few Madden games, usually struggle early on but I'm winning from the get go on this game.

These games have been with the default sliders.

Forgot to add. I did lose a game on all madden when Romo got injured and Dak had to come in for him. A few of his pssses were very inaccurate so rating do play a massive part this year.

Speed is back as well. Yay!

One thing - and I may be a lone voice here - not keen on the commentators, especially the lead guy, who I think sounds bored with the whole game.

Already getting fed up of him talking about going for a steak afterwards. If I were the co-commentator I'd decline his offer and take my chances of hitting on someone back at the hotel.

I like the continuous commentary updates, but I wish they'd stop going on about the new Touchback rule on every kick off. Annoyingly, that is quite realistic!
