1) Still have some random during catches, swat button help a lot but I have couple of cacthes against Riverside thats never should happen....
2) Kicking on top difficulty - is way too hard(((
3) tackle battles - dont like it at all, look like smth very arcade
4) Franchise - on team needs you ll see top 5 rookies on position, hope that would be fixed as soon as possible...
5) Playbooks - way too much gun formations (49ers playbook - 24!!!)
6) Run defence and run offence much much better, at least you can predict now what happens and react properly. No more -2 yards from iform against quarter formation. And I dont see button in settings to turn off all assistance (tackle box showing weak side of defence)

Rookie thing been fixed on CFM already
Tackle button doesn't always appear ,bit like the old fight for fumble but updated
Kicking a challenge but no hard, just practice .
All madden challenging but fun win or lose
Only thing stays on is tackle button which quick as pops up it goes in a flash and tackle box which can aid people , i have tweeted rex and co asking please ad option to turn off as all madden no aids lol.But again if you know what opponent seeing your week side you know where he might go then make adjustments extra player etc,but just cos its red or green Don't mean always works .Rating matter

Enjoying formation subs a huge help vs certain opponents weakness and strengths and using all players easier.

Smooth on slow speed, had some great battles run game and passing, good pressure on qb .You now have to blitz now and again, unlike previously 3 always or just 4.Become a chess game with new zones and gap assignments

Ball physics i like ,hold that ball people.

I like it so far, just remember certain tech not available to make certain things in game possible .Next year when i think they will go with the frostbite engine and more tech becomes available . Its getting there IMO

Re: Madden 17 First Impressions

Post by patriotscpfc on Fri 26 Aug 2016, 8:53 pm

Played my first game vs the Titans. I found it hard to run the ball with Dion Lewis, but reasonably ok with Blount.

I found it ok to get the ball deep and found the middle of the field clogged up after a few completions which I'm hoping is down to the CPU adjusting.

Really struggled on D, but I was more trying out formations than anything else. Mariota completed nearly every pass barring a jarring hit on a RB by Chung and I got to him a couple of times with a blitz.

Found the kicking hard, and the ST was ok.

I'd say it's better than last year, but I'd probably want the CPU passing accuracy tuned a tiny bit to give me a chance somewhat against the better QBs.

I'll try out the Texans against a passing team later to see how that goes.

Yeh i got mine qb slider on 30. User and cpu fatigue on 55 but seeing 95 stam coming off quick at times if a huge run or catch after run.

Holding calls, illegal blocks in run game too, not had and PI yet,

Not actually got the game yet but I've heard there is s glitch that tells you if the offense are going to run or pass before the snap

Re: Madden 17 First Impressions

Played one game last night, didnt adjust sliders too much, just moved QB accuracy down to 40 but found that too high, Tannehill was completing 85% and the ones he didnt were more to do with being hit or throwing out of bounds than bad passes.

One issue i did have was with "ball physics", saw far too many passes being knocked in the air, taking 3 deflections and being picked off or just missed, and the same with a couple of fumbles I saw, the players didnt attack the ball and it seemed to roll a bit more than it would.

Had issues running with Doug Martin, probably around 2.5 yards a carry but when I subbed Sims in, he was gaining 7-8 yards a carry. I think it just needs practice, the holes open up and its just finding them.

I can't say in playing Madden since 1998 i've ever had to actually go to open practice and just practice kicking the ball but i had to, the new kicking engine looks more realistic and is much more rewarding but it is difficult to get used to and needs practice.

Once again, penalties seem to be a lot better, saw some good holding calls, couple of illegal blocks in the back and, to me, a joke PI call but deep down, it probably was lol

I think a few tweaks to sliders and EA may have actually created a playable, enjoyable game for the first time in a long time!

game looks interesting

upgrading main skills looks seriously expensive.
will run a custom XP slider set though but on the research some dudes on OS did.
http://www.operationsports.com/forums/madden-nfl-football-sliders/887789-tdawgs-madden-17-xp-sliders.html

currently running a CFM with a zero sliders set on slow speed.
http://www.operationsports.com/forums/madden-nfl-football-sliders/887753-ohmrhankys-zero-sliders-ratings-matter-madden-17-a.html

seem pretty interesting but think the tackling should be raised a lil bit cause to many broken tackles.

QB accuracy probably should be below 40.
testing it on 35 but will probably lower it some more .

leaving the special teams sliders on base since its pretty tricky right now.

fumbles seems to something to watch out for.

tried an online game and dude quite in 2nd quarter so im not touching that again.

havent figured out how to turn off some of the visuals though.

formation subs include special teams so no longer will i have starters playing there!!!!!!!

will report if i find some more stuff.

PS: i will be praying steve smith will last a season or 2.
Dude is a god lol

Dont forget tackles also depend on rating. Ive had not had a lot of broken tackles, cbs need a bit of help but when i tackle

Remember if you put it up even the 69 tackles will be doing one on one with ease
