Hmmm... it seems the practice sessions don't use your default slider settings. I tried a couple briefly in online practice and had the same problem Kobza did.
I will give it a proper go tomorrow

Well, this morning, I tried this on the EAFL free practice and this happened:

There was really no time to get the pass off and certainly no time to make a read.

Not shown here, I then tinkered with the cpu sliders but it didn't make any difference. I might try it from shotgun later to see if that makes a difference.

Edit: apologies for the poor quality of the video and frames missing. Not sure why that happened.

Re: PA Problem

Post by GBDawg1 on Thu 22 Oct 2015, 5:40 pm

I find it hard to believe that D-Liners beating off blocks from O-liners is dependant upon the QB's PA rating. I suppose it is possible but I find the concept far-fetched.

You would have thought an o-liner would block according to his pass block or run block rating.

In other words, a QB can get a normal pass off, but if he has a low PA rating, the o-liners' legs all turn to jelly and they step out of the way of the onrushing D-liners, because their QB has a poor PA rating.

I had always assumed that the PA rating affected the actual mechanic of the PA - selling it if you like - and their ability to complete the pass from a PA move.

Sorry, I'm not buying the fact that it has an effect on other players.

Noticed this 2 weeks ago when I was practising in the Franchise.. same issue really.. despite Cam having a 85 PA.

I only notice this vs. CPU though vs. human its totally fine.

I guess against CPU not a problem, cause not so much CPU, but that also happens in games vs Humans((

its a combination.

QB PA + o-line blocking + opponent playing the pass is why it gets busted so fst.

they pretty much did this cause last year it was broken the other way lol.

if your opponent is play the pass PA is pretty much useless.

you should look how it plays out in user gamers though.

It seems to me that teams with bad OL and or bad QBs have trouble with play action..

If it was OL problem then we might not to play either in this game. Why my OL can block on run plays, can give a decent amount of time to Barkley to throw the ball on pass plays and then disappears on PA plays? For me it seems at least strange. Really. In game it look like OL was there before snap and immediately after snap there are noone near to protect QB. Madden Tunneling Effect.

Not the pass block slider dnt think, could be pass reaction or some thing else as they react off the bat.

Best way to check if its pass block same sliders in a random.cfm test league drop it see which one makes difference

from what i read it could be tied to the pass coverage slider since that 1 affect pass rush and pass coverage.

lowering that means more time to pass and worse coverage.

its on 60 so think good a bout what you are asking lel.

I don't want anything hasty done here and if any changes are made then I would only want them done to the cpu. SO if we can alter it for human v cpu games then fine: if it will also affect the AI in human/human games we have a problem.

I gave up trying to run any sort of PA after the first quarter va DAP yesterday. 2 plays, both nailed in the backfield after half a second, one of which put me in a huge hole with an INT.

You can get away with it with a mobile QB on a roll-out, but that's just about it.
