Don Bradman Cricket
I note a few of you have this game and it was something I had been considering. However, before I decide to part with my hard-earned, I wonder whether some of you might provide your thoughts on it.
I fear it might be a rather time-consuming game.

Re: Don Bradman Cricket
You know i play it, had it on PS3 & now on PS4
There isnt much change between the 2, just sharper graphics
My opinion on the game is a good one but it has flaws! Opposition fields are very easy to work out and take advantage of but at the same time i find batting nearly impossible, think my best score is only about 150!
Bowling is really realistic, definitely my favourite part of the game. Easy to get a hang of and worth the effort to get good at it.
It can be very time consuming if you play Test cricket like i do but it is worth it and really enjoyable! I havent played online just due to knowing nobody who has it but I can imagine that is much more enjoyable and more realistic.
There are plenty of improvements to make to the game but the developers seem very active in trying to do this. I have a good read on planetcricket forums every few days to see others opinions and tips. Whether its worth £55 is upto u and depends on how much time you have to play it.
If you do get it, let me know and i'll have a few online games with you....or anyone else who does have it on here

Warlow and Bigjim have both been clocked playing it. I'm assuming there is a county option because I'm sure I saw Northants were 14/2 the other evening. Must have been put into bat on a dodgy wicket.

Re: Don Bradman Cricket
I too like the cork on willow game, half decent opener in my day - but i'm unsure about DB Cricket. After reading the reviews and watching on Youtube it seems it is clearly a last-gen product and i'm not sure whether it's worth purchasing.
Seems all the reviews agree with Dap - it is long winded and batting on anything above lower levels is very hard to master. Seems to me it's likely one of those games that are the best of it's type but with some way to go to be a really good game.
I'd like a crack at it though and maybe when it drops in price i may have a peek.

Re: Don Bradman Cricket
It would take an absolute die-hard fan to disagree with any reviews of it, by far the best cricket game ever made but still a long way!
Not a bad effort considering the budget of Big Ant Studios, and id love to see them make another one. The PS4 Version is just there so its out on the console, there are no gameplay improvements at all, the only difference is the pitch and the grass look better lol
I cant see the price droppin any time soon! Its still £28.99 new on PS3 and i got £31 trade in on it about 9months after release, its a very niche market game so no need for the price to drop really

Re: Don Bradman Cricket
Looks like Big Ant have announced there will be a 2nd Don Bradman Cricket in 2016 ... very little information about it but it is happening!
The 3rd and final patch for consoles will be out soon as well ....
Unfortunately I dont own the game anymore, sold it for £35 on Gumtree
