Re: Rule Suggestions

Post by manidifata on Mon 16 Feb 2015, 11:02 am

Here my suggestion, something i tought from long time.

It's about the trades.
You really know how much i trust TRU as trade moderator. He is one of the most smart, accountable and fair guy ever know.
I'm not discussing him, so. I discuss the influence that a decision made by a third person can have on the strategies of a coach.

I think that the trade check should be an AWARENESS trade check.

The trade mod should only be sure that both part know exactly the financials effects of the trades. Ane be sure that if i trade Aaron Rodgers i have a strategy to not f**k my cap and mantain my roster competitive.
But not a single word on the technical side. The way a coach want to build a roster must stay in the coach pocket. Nobody else can decide if it's fair to trade Aaron Rodgers for that player or picks.
The trades should be  reviewed in terms of financial cap issues, that's the point.

Any tought?

I agree if both owners know what there doing, and are happy with whats on the table.

Nothing should stop the trade going through.

Also taking who the owner is into consideration

My suggestion to forbid low and short punts.
It's not realistic. It provokes a lot non realistic fumbles. Even if returner ask for fair catch, he can't get to ball in time and usually ball hit returner and ball become alive.

no to matty and mani cause I wont allow their dodgy attempts at unfair trades lol.
both of you are known trade rapers so tough luck guys Razz

DZ makes a good point though as those punts seems to mess with the Returner AI which often has the ball land on his head if you don't user control him away from the punt.....

personally would be supportive for such a rule as well but ill admit i don't see people it that much though.

I agree with Tru and Dzuba re 'flat line punts'. It is a known AI problem - and even when there is not a fumble the ball whizzes past the returner and the camera does not move with it, hence no chance of a return.

I give what is asked, and what the other owner wanted.

Your basically everyone general manager pick and choose on trades lol

No point negotiations with other owners may well do it all with you, because no matter whats agreed and happy with your judge and jury.

Im just saying you need to be more open to how long time owners trade and they know what there doing.

Tru, nobody is questioning your fairness. The problem is that in a trade shouldn't be YOUR judgment what matter. But what both owners thinks and agree.
naturally, the fairess about an healthy salary cap is always welcomed. But basically you decide for the others, is too many ways. That's the point.

I think too much of a big deal is made about that. I am open to persuasion on it, but would say this:

I have seen muffed punts occasionally, but because the hang time is next to nothing, the gunners don't get downfield in time to recover them. and I've never seen a muffed punt not recovered by the player who muffed it;
Distance-wise, you lose out with a low-trajectory punt vs a "normal" punt.
What I have seen is punts ballooned up into the air and the fair catch button ignoring desperate presses, with the result that the gunner flattens the PR guy, with the ball coming loose and this nearly always recovered by the kicking team.

no pressing fair catch is dangerous as it usually results with the ball landing on the returners head tnx to messed up AI lol.

also from what ive seen you actually get more yards out of  such a punt cause the ball usually bounces quite a few yards downfield.

basicially you either try to fair catch them with the risk of a fumble or you let them bounce all the way downfield.

Personally i think everyone should use the playbook that's connected to their team and we should ban adding Hot Routes to plays during games... The end
