well in my cowboys game i could run it if i was patient but when i spammed the sprint i gained little to nothing.

also if there are 8 in the box or the defense blitzes its normal you wont gain much unless you adjust properly.

same with my fumbles and picks.

1 pick was an under thrown ball  where the zone defender had good coverage underneath.
other pick was a forced pass in double coverage.
1 pick was went i threw it to late.
the player was already open but i wanted to go deep but when i could not i tried to still get the easy throw but the defender was watching it all the way.

1 fumble was just a big hit on a wr like the brown play last night.

2 other fumbles where blitzes where i tried to throw it deep but the QB got hammerd.

tru11 wrote:well ive changed some things so ill be looking for week 3.

couple of tips though.
running the ball:
1 know your oline.  you can check pre snap how your team stacks up in run blocking against the opponent so you can already have an idea on how succesfull you might be.
2 know your RB. some RBs are meant to run between the tackles while others ( charles , mccoy AP) have enough speed to get to the edges at will.
3 most import is to read your blockers and dont press sprint till you passed the LOS and there is a hold.
in madden defenders will shed blocks as soon as you press sprint , meaning if you do it after hand off you are not likely to many yards. in the nfl most of the time players wont start sprinting till they see day light.

passing:
1 know your oline. you can check who will struggle in pass blocking thus either shift o-line or keep a TE rb into help.
2 know your QB. if he cant make the throw then i suggest dont try them to often.
3 lead passing should be used  when you have time to set your feet and its to an area with no defender.
you will overthrow is if the feet isent set.
4 know the pass rushers.  if you wont have many time you cant rely on routes that take long to develop.
5 most important is working on the timing. more then ever if you throw to late it will be swatted or picked.
its all about anticipating and throwing into windows that might not be there yet.

that's expplain why you're the n.1. Very nice post!

After playing JR, I can confidently say that we do not need sliders. I threw a comeback his CB was 10 yards off my WR when I threw it, and he ends up jumping in front of the WR somehow for the pick 6. Tell me how that is remotely realistic? Especially when that CB is a bum. We combined for about 12 turnovers, and 4 defensive TD's.

Though I agree they could do with some toning down. Three of the picks were user picks from two LBs and Mays that I read the whole way where he was going from the moment it was snapped.

I wouldn't call anyone in my secondary a bum to be honest, they're all pretty solid one way or another.

And you were forcing a lot of throws with both Palmer and Thomas who aren't exactly Brady or Brees.

I think pass accuracy is pretty spot on, the Jags guys are just s***! lol but then again Dan Orlovski has just finished a game with 90%+ so maybe it needs turning down

My one issue is with fatigue, my players are knackered by the 4th quarter and i've had 4th quarters where i've ended up with 3 TEs at WR because all my WRs are too tired.  And on D, i've ended up with LB playing DE and DE playing DT because of tiredness ... anyone else had this issue?

Having just played the CPU for the 1st time using these sliders I have to say I think Tru has done a great job, playing the CPU feels like a challenge now, its not an automatic win anymore and that's how it should be. Everybody is going to have to change the way they have always played Madden and it will take some time to figure out but I can honestly say that no one will want to play the CPU anymore.

As for bums jumping routes and making plays even a bum will get it right every now and then, speaking for myself you have to go through your progressions now, you have to try and use motion to get that match up that gives you the advantage, you can't just throw a curl and know its a completion anymore !!!!

Lets give the sliders we have a chance Tru knows what he is doing, it's us that have to get better and change the way we play.

Really? Perhaps I'm getting too old for this but after never having had a shutout in any other Madden, I've now had two back-to-back. Looks like it might be a long season.

After playing the CPU again. QB accuracy is way too low. NFL QBs should not be overthrwoing drag routes by 10 yards, I'm sorry they just shouldn't, even Ryan Leaf could hit those. And fatigue is way too high. NFL teams never sub out their OL because they are too tired, here OL is in a full rotation, can't run 3 plays without losing an OL because he's too tired. Should leave fatigue at 50 imo, and put pass accuracy at 100, untill Logan's ratings improve.

It seems about right for me - when Payton plays he hits most all of his receivers and when the back plays he throws some crazy pass.

I've just finished my first pre-season game, and I 100% agree that fatigue needs to be changed, O-Line should never come out of the game and all of mine were subbing in and out all the time

Yeah Matty I know, but even on my opening drive it was subbing players left, right & centre.

o-line never really fatigue - long drive are known to wear down the Defense, not the other way around.
