but where they good reads or did you force passes?

i could drop the int sliders a little if more people experience it.

but i need to know if its you making bone headed throws or the cpu making plays on perfect passes.
hope yall understand the difference lol

Oh also, what's happening with Ray Rice? Since he's being removed from the game, will he still be in our league?

Just for example, I'm playing right now agains Seattle and Bruce Irving almost done spectacular catch against open TE on corner route.
I've got few screens

This is LB with 62-63 catches and 64, 74 - coverages...

I don't like seeing a high number of INTs. Bone-headed throws or not, it's unrealistic.

My game with Matty had some INT's but looking at the footage 1 was a deep ball under pressure with a user pick, 1 was an errant throw from Cousins and 1 was thrown into triple coverage at the goal line. I will have some footage up later for everyone to see and judge for themselves.

Also Brady threw the ball like a really bad JaMarcus Russell but you would have to ask Matty if he was using too much lead or throwing too early, I found the accuracy to be very good, some really bad throws that missed to wide open players made it more realistic.

Biggers not a top corner jumped on a ball like superman. Like mani said a top cb prc would jump it but looked dubious

Needs or balance with run block and pass rush, i couldnt get nothing going but could be that my oline sucked but when i saw 3,4 string stuff it as well.

Fatigue needs to change i has mayo in one down he was red already

But saying all this was first game got my butt handed to me.

Brady throw god knows what was going on even a simple throw over middle went into the ground

And I know, that I'm not first who noticed, that a lot of curl and hitch routes on this sliders are f**k up. For example: D playing cover 1 without press, WR with 85+ release run curl route, QB throws ball right before WR turns around and when WR turn around, between WR and CB creates clearance for a 4-6 yards. Pass into WR's legs. Low pass, good timing, but BOOM! CB gets infront WR - Pick-6! I know when clearance between players 1-2 yards - than you force pass, but in my situation clearance been near 4 yard.
I'll try to get video or screens tonight.

The problem is that every year, the game "as it is" is always flawed. Tru with his slider tinkering, endeavours to make things more realistic. One day, EA might release the perfect product, but I'm not expecting it in my lifetime.

Running is f**k impossible with these sliders. You have 3 defenders instantly in the backfield, how is that remotely realistic? Run blocking needs tyo be bumped to at least 30 imo.

fumble rating has gone up to decrease fumbles.
int rating has gone down so there will be less picks.

holding rating has gone up so oliners hold their blocks better with added risk.

its off influence on blocking smart ass.

only way holding get called is if the oliner holds on to long.

so in a direct way by upping it blocking should improve.

fatique is fine at 75 for now.
its already lower then most recommend.

if you set you auto subs right you wont even notice it much TBH.

Re: THE EAFL

Post by GBDawg1 on Wed 10 Sep 2014 - 22:13

Well, I played my first game tonight against the cpu, as Flash couldn't make it.

I found running extremely hard, passing difficult as well, with defenders jumping routes that you thought were open and no time to get the ball off normally either. A blitz meant unless I had called a quick pass it was a sack.

The cpu, on the other hand, ran at will though my defense, passed into tight coverage and generally had a nice time.

The running might have been partly my own fault but I have to say that first impressions were that for "slow" speed, it isn't very slow.

I accept I am one of the "basement boys" in the league but even so, I do expect to be able to compete against the cpu. OK, the score was only 17-14 but it ould have been worse had the cpu not fumbled near my GL.

Hoyer was wild, threw a couple of INTs and overthrew a number of passes by a long way. Again, that might just be Hoyer, but the cpu back up QB looked set for the probowl, threading passes through the eye of a needle. Bush and Bell must also be the league's stud running backs.

Played my first human vs human league game.

My impressions. Defense reaction and pass coverage should be lowered just a bit, between 85-90.

I really really like the fact that finally the safety that play in front of the eyes of the QB react to the ball. But it's really not so natural what happened.

Defense in cover 3. This mean that the two CB play deep with a Safety in the center.
I recognize the scheme and call 4 Wr deep to beat the D on the end. 4 Wr against 3 DB.
I throw to the open Wr. The ball was placed perfectly. The CB that was covering the WR on the sideline, jumped (still don't know how) in front of the Wr to pick the ball. About a jump of 15 yards from 30 yards on sideline to the 40 inside. Unreal.

I really like the sliders how they are set. Just think that lowering a bit the pass cov and the pass D reaction time would be more balanced. These are my two cents...

Re: THE EAFL

Post by tru11 on Fri 12 Sep 2014 - 10:01

well ive changed some things so ill be looking for week 3.

couple of tips though.
running the ball:
1 know your oline.  you can check pre snap how your team stacks up in run blocking against the opponent so you can already have an idea on how succesfull you might be.
2 know your RB. some RBs are meant to run between the tackles while others ( charles , mccoy AP) have enough speed to get to the edges at will.
3 most import is to read your blockers and dont press sprint till you passed the LOS and there is a hold.
in madden defenders will shed blocks as soon as you press sprint , meaning if you do it after hand off you are not likely to many yards. in the nfl most of the time players wont start sprinting till they see day light.

passing:
1 know your oline. you can check who will struggle in pass blocking thus either shift o-line or keep a TE rb into help.
2 know your QB. if he cant make the throw then i suggest dont try them to often.
3 lead passing should be used  when you have time to set your feet and its to an area with no defender.
you will overthrow is if the feet isent set.
4 know the pass rushers.  if you wont have many time you cant rely on routes that take long to develop.
5 most important is working on the timing. more then ever if you throw to late it will be swatted or picked.
its all about anticipating and throwing into windows that might not be there yet.
