All eyes will be on the Browns now, as to whether they will stick at #2 or twist. Now the speculation is out of the way about whether the Titans would trade or not, if someone wants one of the top 2 QBs, then they know where they have to come.

I am each-way about it really. Probably not the best QB class of all time by a long way, but given the multitude of roster requirements, I wouldn't bet against the Browns gathering picks.

Whatever they decide to do, I have already written next season off.

I'm glad that Rams did it rather than Eagles. I think price was too high. On the other hand Rams roster has been pretty solid for couple years now but QB play has destroyed their postseason hopes. If Wentz or Goff will give them change to win +10 games it's a win win for both teams.

I agree that Rams ownership must have pushed this deal. They need face of the franchise and they didn't care the price.

At some stage the NFL have to realise that by having the Ravens play in Cinci on final day for the FIFTH time in six years is giving the Bengals a massive competitive advantage.

Aside from that, a decent schedule for us, apart from a brutal final 4 games- At NE, Philly, At Pitt (Christmas Day!), At Cinci.

I hear you but before that changes the Bengals would like a home game on opening day. Seven years in a row playing away, no other team has done this more than four consecutive years.

Yeah I can't argue with that, although would probably at a push prefer to play on the road final day over opening day.

Wow!! Massive trade number 2!!

Eagles up to number 2, Browns receive a lot, good move from Browns in my opinion

Not thrilled about this but hopefully I'm wrong and Wentz (or Goff) will be worth it. Maybe someone is willing to give decent pick(s) for Bradford and then it wouldn't look so pricy deal. Have to say that this deal still greats more excitiment than knowing Bradford would be our QB.

Both these major deals have to be looked after couple years when we know how Goff and Wentz have done their job.

I give up. The faces change, but the idiotic hires stay the same.
As The Who once sang: "Meet the new boss; same as the old boss."

But unfortunately, we do get fooled again.

Not sure what they are hoping to get at #8. The top touted players will all be gone. Morons. Was going to go this year, but those plans were shelved when the scythe began to cull the senior players.

Instead? Kiev and Pripyat: hopefully see you later this year. It feels like the scene of devastation in Pripyat will be less than in Cleveland.

They could take Lynch. Or Elliott.

It's getting to the point that 4 or 5 QBs could be taken in the first round.

To be fair you can't really fault them if they're not convinced by Goff and Wentz. The last few Cleveland regimes have proven you can't force it.

Regarding Elliot, really don't get why he is being touted so high given the ridiculous RB crop coming through next year. Unless you think Elliot is the next Adrian Peterson, wait until 2017 where you'll be able to get much better value at the position, and a top player this year.

Running in college is a lot different to the NFL, I find it hard to use a 1st round pick on a RB nowadays to be honest, you can pick up a guy just as good in later rounds in my opinion.

It's more about your Oline than your RB.

Re: NFL General Chat

You can get so many RBs who are good at one thing - running between the tackles and get yards after contact (Morris, Jones), stretch zone plays (Murray), elusive shifty backs (Shady), pass catchers (Forte) but its very rare to find someone who can do all those things.  The only backs I can think who can do all those things are Adrian Peterson and Todd Gurley.  Maybe Jamaal Charles and Devonta Freeman but they don't break many tackles.  The thing about Elliot is that he can do all those things, and has done them well, he couldn't be stopped by the best college defenses the year they won it all at OSU despite having three different QBs hand him the ball, that's why he (and Gurley) will be top 15 picks.

I think the Browns and Titans have done well, but you still need to make good picks. If Atlanta offered Cleveland Phil Taylor, Greg Little, Owen Marecic, Brandon Weeden (and, indirectly, a 4th was used to move up for Trent Richardson) for julio Jones - Cleveland would laugh in their face.  Similar story on the opposite end of the spectrum with WAS-STL trade for RGIII, Fisher even sent out the guys he got from the trade (Brockers, Ogletree, Robinson, Jenkins) as team captains in Landover this past season. Still need to get the picks right.

Fair play to the Browns. They have a great deal that will make them better - just like the Rams a couple years ago. Will Goff or Wentz be HoF'ers in 10 years time, I doubt it. Andrew Luck could be, but this year's top 2 are not as good as Luck - so, the Browns can now rebuild and still take a QB who could turn out to be great.

I was really hoping for a sequel to 'Draft Day' - but here it is, in real life. Just need to get Kev in as GM.

It's not a good trade. Our new "analytics" people might think so, but whenever we have traded down, it has ended badly.

I could give a whole range of examples, if required.

To be fair, it's ended badly because you've had bad talent evaluators in the past. Never know, but the new ones might be aware that players like Manziel and Weeden aren't the answer!

As for the Ravens in this draft, my order of preference would be Ramsey/Tunsil (undecided one which I'd prefer 1st), Jack, Buckner, Bosa, Hargreaves.

Can't imagine any scenario whereby Ramsey falls to us as although I think he'll go to San Diego given how much money they have invested at tackle and their hole at S after losing Weddle, even if he doesn't both Dallas or Jax would snap him up. If Ramsey does go to SD, I reckon we'd get Tunsil unless Jax decide enough's enough from Joeckel. I think they'll prioritise their D though. Dallas need D and with Lawrence and Gregory suspended and Greg Hardy being released for being a caveman, Bosa would fit perfectly. Which would be great for me/the Ravens as I'm really not convinced by him. He won't 'bust' by any means and likely will be a solid contributor for 10 years but with a top 10 pick, you need Jared Allen not Jared Johnson and I just think he's close to maxed out as well as being largely underwhelming last near for Ohio St.

I'm hoping Bucs take Hargreaves, best option for us, unless Ramsey is there then we obviously go with Winston's best mate .... that can only go well ....

I've booked the Friday off so I'll be staying up for the whole thing. Will be refreshing not to have to wait all the way to the bottom of the first round only to trade out altogether at about 4am!

I wouldn't mind trading down a little but only for a decent haul with a first rounder next year at a minimum. Otherwise I want a bona fide blue chip prospect.
