Just looked over on the Bengals forum to depress myself more and read this, sums the season up perfectly.

Really? We lost Maualuga, who by the way is barely average. We lost Burfict at the beginning of the season meaning we had all season long to find an answer for that.

The defensive performance was absolutely embarrassing. That was not a team worthy of a postseason game. They did the same stuff all game and we couldn't stop it. Our best defense was their receivers dropping the balls and a block in the back.

If you think Maualuga and Burfict would have made a difference then I respectfully think you are wrong. This game was not a question of personnel. This was yet again a game where we were out coached in all phases of the game.

From questionable play calling to horrendous personnel choices in certain plays.

Rewarding mediocre players with long term contracts has hurt this team year after year after year. Geathers and Peko are just wasting roster spots. Lemur was touted as this great pass defending linebacker and he can't cover or tackle. Vinney Rey is just terrible. This is what you get when your franchise philosophy is solely to build through the draft.

Until we pick up a few key pieces of proven players through free agency we will forever be short on what we need to win a meaningful game. Plus coaching staff has to be purged from top to bottom.

I curse the day my family moved to Cincinnati and thus began a series of unfortunate events that led to me being a fan of this sad excuse of a team.

Plus Mike Brown pretty much said in a interview that he's happy the way things are.

Well that was f**k terrible. The refs blatently cost the Lions the win. They licked Jerry Jones' ass the whole 4th QTR. Just sad. I cannot name anyone on the Cowboys' D, Rodgers will torch them for 50. Matchup the NFL clearly wanted, now they get to see as their beloved Cowboys lose by 30. I can't wait.

Can't see what you are apologising for. It's annoying when your team lays an egg when you know they could have made a better fist of it.

But I still think you have a decent coach. You may disagree, but who would you have instead?

I've always liked Marvin Lewis, what he has done steering the club over his time there is outstanding. I think he takes the blame of a poor supporting cast.

They went into a playoff game with bums at receiver and can't seem to utilise this potential they have at their disposal. They've needed a new QB coach for years, as under Ken Zampese's tutelage both Palmer and Dalton had/have regressed.

One thing it does all boil down to though is Mike Brown, up until recently he constantly wanted final say on who was drafted (Mallet over Dalton being one example). And since Marvin and Duke Tobin have had a bigger say the classes have been 100% better.

As ever, I am relaxed about the whole playoff thing. Bit of a worry Baltimore is still in I suppose, but given the seedings it was going to be them or Pittsburgh. So at least one of them has gone.

Try not to worry Mani: I'm sure Stang will post soon to tell you that Dallas will be so frightened at the prospect of playing the mighty Green Bay, they probably won't even turn up for the game. Or they might ask Goodell if he can arrange a sim.

OC Kyle Shanahan and QB Coach Dowell Loggains gone.

Shanahan been rumoured to be on his way for a few days and Loggains certainly no surprise either.

That was a catch tho. Stupid rule.

Excuses coming out for manning ,seemed fine sprinting and instead of getting a easy first.typical manning stat collector he is all about him tries throwing and ends punting.

Another example cj anderson had succeed in a run play just before and on goaline manning tries to throw instead off cj bouldering in .

Too much power, not a team player he sucked and still tried throwing.

Colts were great and im a huge fan of luck, just hope that was there best game and suck next week.

I'm not convinced the Dez Bryant call was actually a case of Bad Rule/Good call. Seemed to me had had full possession and he was diving for the endzone and that's what caused the ball to pop out. As ground can't cause a fumble, it's a complete pass.
