Tbh its in line with Romo and Flaccos deals pretty much and theyre on the same kind of bar for the going rate of above-average QBs. Even if they tagged him 3 years theyd pay 64m. You cant just let an above average QB walk out the door, especially now he has a proper offensive coach and weapons around him

The interesting contracts will be when Luck, Wilson, Newton etc have their 2nd contracts.

Fair play to Jay Cutler - he actually came out and said what every top sportsman knows "We won't be able to spend all the millions in our lifetime, although Kristin has said she will try and help". Sounds almost human.

and "Chicago is his best chance at a SB".

Now he just needs to give some cash back for a defense and he may even get his SB wish!

His best chance at a SB ring is riding the bench in Green Bay.

Packers will be better off when we fire Capers and get a better D. Heres to hoping we sign Jimmy Graham if he hits the market, Saints cant afford him anyways, doubt TT will though. One player I want us to target is Alex Mack, EDS is a FA, and Mack was Rodgers' C at Cal for a year or 2, it's a perfect fit. Then in the draft go D D D D D D D D D D and more D.

Oh and Batch, anything can happen once you're in the playoffs, especially when you have the best QB and player in the NFL. Remember we were 5-2 when Rodgers got hurt. So with Rodgers we are 6-2

No Disrespect to Rodgers. He is a great QB, he is top 5... But he is not the best. Peyton Manning owns that Title this season and last season. On top of the best season of any QB in NFL history. He will most likely have a Superbowl this season plus. Another MVP. which will Make his 5th. Which is also the most by any player in NFL History.

To say Rodgers is top 5 is disrespectful. In the words of Stephen A. He's a baaaad man. You can'tmake a valid case for 2 QB's better than Rodgers let alone 4, you can barely make a case for one. Manning always chokes in the playoffs anyways. Rodgers in the playoffs >> Manning in the playoffs. Fact. Rodgers on the Broncos in that system puts up as good or better numbers than Manning.

It's common knowledge Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL. Oppinion sheared by many in the NFL community. Also, Brady isn't in Rodgers' league.

I cant talk football to someone who is blind by there own team. Like I said I think Rodgers is a top 5 QB (active QBs) not all time.

I think Rodgers is already top 10 all time and climbing. He can make throws that no one else can, or would even attempt, he's deadly accurate. He has a cannon for an arm too, not to mention great mobility. Has the highest QBR in the history of the NFL, regular, and post season. Not to mention the best TD/INT ratio in NFL history, he also has one of the highest YPC in NFL history as well. Simply put he doesn't make many mistakes, is clutch as all hell, and by shear numbers is the most efficient QB in NFL history.

Could have sworn he made a couple of 'mistakes' during that first half last week. Oh wait, can't be Rodgers because he's 'deadly accurate'!

This is brilliant but I think stang is winding you up Dbatch. Or at least, I hope he is? ......

I stopped reading after signing jimmy graham . Stang when it comes to caps snd contracts I'll stick with loomis. As its pretty well documented about your lack of knowledge of other team salaries (only person who didnt realise carolinas s*** contracts) we'll sign jimmy. Itll be a lot of dough. But we'll sign him.

Taking all the physical tools into it then imo Rodgers is #1.though not as far as you think stang to nit even contemplate brady or manning and brees. Says more about your homerism than anything else. Id take Brees over any QB in the league. Hes my boy. But i acknolwedge the greatness of the other big 4. Manning is the smartest qb though. and has had the greatest season of a qb ever stats wise.

Also its not like hes Brady early 2000s. Rodgers needs to play for a few more years before we start callung for top 10 all time.

Also I love how you discount Chicago on behalf of cutler when its their defence that has cost them but your all in on if our defence gets better were so awesome we own the North. Other teams can improve. Detroit will improve by adding a competent coach. Likewise Minny.

Packers fans. So much holier than thou.

top-5 for you is?
for me its obvious: Rogers, TB, Manning, Brees, Ben. Manning is the best right now, till playoff comes. maybe the best in history but I can't tell this and trying avoid to compare with +10yrs ago QBs as they where playing a bit different rules, game and in totally different conditions.

i.e. not in they life the could return back on a field after such a surgery that Manning had. medicine did change alot.

sames goes for brees when on the freakin road.
even brady has been chocking at will since spygate .....

they are all cute regular season QBs but seriously in the play offs you might as well have Eli or Flacco lol.
heck even tebow has looked better in the play offs then matt ryan  Laughing Laughing Laughing

Um tru, Rodgers has the best playoff QBR in history? WTF you talkin' bout Willis? And thai those 2 picks Rodgers threw vs the Bears can be atributed to rust, 1st one was just a great play by Conte, probably the only good play he made all season, Rodgers didn't put enough zip on it. Only the 4th RZ pick he's ever thrown. The 2nd was a result of Nelson dropping it, and flicking it in the air. Granted it was a tad behind, but still catchable. But Rodgers was spectacular when it counted. I also said he doesn't make many mistakes, not he never makes mistakes. He's only thrown more than 2 picks in a game once or twice in his career, and never more than 3.

Great depate here. Smile

I think best QB (now and and maybe ever) is Tom Brady. He's got most wins in postseson (17) by QB. He has won almost 3/4 of his games in postseason. He has three rings + two loss. If I would have to choose QB that most likely will lead to team to SB I would take Brady over Manning or Rodgers easily. Winning when it matters is the most important. Not the stats, MVP titles, some mistakes QB have made.

P. Manning has lost more than won in postseason (9/11). Rodgers has only played 8 postseason games and he has only had one really good postseason.
