NFL General Chat

Unfortunate for the Cards, but in this playoff format there's not a lot can be done - and as it is effectively a cup competition now anyone can win it, including the Packers and Chargers as the Ravens and Giants proved last couple of years.

Obviously the bookies will favour a Hawks/Broncos SB but it will be interesting to see whether Carolina can get some offense going, and i wouldn't rule out the Pats entirely from doing Denver over.

In true silver lining style - i am pleased Chicago have the No14 pick in the draft. Maybe we can get a decent safety!!! Chris Conte reminds me of someone 'well in' with the McCaskey family as his play for 2 seasons has been scary awful!

Good luck to GB - even though there are a lot of very biased Pack fans around and i doubt they'll get past SF - i still love the fact that their whole town turns up and packs Lambeau every game - can't imagine half a million Brummies going to watch Villa and Blues every week!
Chill, Chris Conte is much better than MD Jennings is. That entire game was a clinic on how not to play safety. I want Haha Clinton-Dix so bad, which would allow Burnett to play in the box more. But since we had to win, the Bears will jump on Clinton-Dix 's ball sack if he lasts that long. I wouldn't mind trading up for him.

Just in case you didn't notice, we have a small game to play before to think to the draft.....

And George, please explain what "few injuries" means to you:
A-Rod
Randall Cobb
Finley (maybe career ending)

Clay Matthews
Brad Jones
Casey Hayward
Nick Collins ( same as Finley)

I can't be bothered to list all the injuries the Browns have had, but the worst one of all was after possibly finding their QB of the future, he went down with a torn ACL after 2 1/4 games.

These things happen. But when they happen to a TOP team, instead of a sh1tty team like the Browns, boy, don't we hear about it.

Despite that, you still made the playoffs. Us? After a 3-2 start, Hoyer got injured and we managed to win one game out of the next 11.

When you have had as little success as we have had in the time I have followed the Browns (since 1982) perhaps you might have something to moan about.

Until that happens, shut the f**k up.

I used to have a soft spot for the Packers because of their fan ownership, but you and Stang's combined whinging has put me right off.

George, i answer for my self.  I don't use the injuries as excuses. I use them as the bright example of how a great organization can overcome what happen to all the teams.

But losing the best Qb in the NFL, the two best weapons in passing downs, and the two best players  in the defense it's something that have an influence on the field.

That said, Green Bay won for the 3rd straight year the division, with Flynn and Tolzien that runned the team for half season.

I wil never say " we didn't reach that goal for the injuries". But if you think what happen to the Packers this season is something happened to all, i think you're wrong.

Peace

SCHIANO IS GONE Smile happy days in Tampa!!

Bit gutted to see our GM go after he brought in Revis and some big signings like Nicks and Jackson but we'll see who comes in!

Not too keen on Lovie Smith though! Bring back Gruden Razz

YES, YES, YES, Cutler is the Packers' biggest asset behind Rodgers of coarse. On behalf of Packers Nation, we absolutely love this move. 7 more years of facing Cutler 2 times a season. This week just keeps getting better.
