Your Football Team

Post by patriotscpfc on Fri 23 Nov 2012 - 15:11

We might as well get a proper list together, I know quite a few, but give us your football teams and we can have some in-season banter...

Me: Crystal Palace (It's f..king boring.... We win every week!) - Always been a fan, been going since I was 4... Now part of the leading English Ultra Group (Holmesdale Fanatics) and have one of the best atmospheres in England.

I have several:

Northampton Town ST holder and have been since 1994
Red Member at Arsenal and occasional visitor to the Emirates
Portsmouth - and provided we win the court case about to become part owner.

Non-league : Dartford, who are going great guns in the conference (my birthplace)

That'll do for now

A new group of people to when this was probably posted so lets keep the site going while we wait for EA .... (also very slow week in work so i've been reading through some old posts lol)

As my name suggests I am a long-suffering but now the complete opposite Manchester City fan!

Went to my first game at 2 years old in 1989 and didn't spend many weekends away from Maine Road in the 90s.  Remember the bad old days and still remember everything about my one and only trip to the old Wembley for the play off final in 1999!

Now things are different, I haven't been much for the past 5-10 years, due to change in lifestyle and cost and the Etihad is a bit further away but I have this week purchased my first ever season ticket so I'm not longer an armchair fan!

Times are now good, very good in fact, and what Sheikh Mansour has done for MCFC and the surrounding area will mean we are a force for a long time to come.

I also now have an MLS team to follow in New York City FC and have teams I "follow" in most countries as well, mainly always liked Barcelona (from the 90s not just the Messi-era) and my Italian side have folded, Parma Sad so need to adopt a new team in Italy!

I am a Manchester lad but now I live in Stockport so I always have a check at there scores and think my sons first ever football match will more than likely be a County game.  Also just due to a long Premier Manager 98 save, I have a soft spot for Cambridge!

So, who is your team, why, and any "soft spots" for others.....

I've gone off football...

Didnt have PM98, but Premier Manager 97, what a game that was! My Wolves team with Michael Bridges banging them in was a thing of beauty.

Hmmm .... I wonder why!

I had like a 25 yr career mode with my dad where I took Cambridge from Division 3 to European glory, over and over and over again....Whilst he struggled to hold a job for more than 3 years Smile
