Games vs the CPU

Post by GBDawg1 on Tue 30 Mar - 18:37

We have all been frustrated during the past season by disconnects at various points. It seems that peak periods at weekends seem to be the worst times, both for lag and disconnects, but it can strike on other occasions too.

However, one area I am concerned about is when players play the cpu. In my experience, it is rare (although it can happen) that you get a disconnect when playing the cpu. Therefore, it troubles me that I often see games against the cpu restarted. With effect from next season (season 3) restarts against the cpu will need to be explained. If the explanation proves to be unsatisfactory, or we see a pattern develop with the same players restarting their games, action will be taken.

I know it's embarrassing to lose against the cpu, but it's happened to most of us - maybe we should consider upping the cpu level to All-Madden to ease the embarrassment somewhat? I'm not sure.

I do in a way, but my connection just randomly disconnects sometimes Rolling Eyes Not because of Madden or anything, so whether I'm vs cpu or not doesnt change that, so there's a small chance I may disconnect vs cpu at some stage, but I'll give my explanation then if it happens. Like the rule though, but All Madden wouldn't work, the cpu would do too well.

Well the cpu's getting a bit fed up with finishing bottom of the divisions and wants to make a playoff push next season.

Well my restarts are due to the fact the mrs needs to be picked up but i have warned her to let me know hours before if she needs to be picked up.not just use and abuse me lol

but all-madden does sound cool but with the players who are here to have fun and are not veterans of madden and who get cpu will likely lose and not wanna play cpu anymore.

playing all madden will make you a better player and it will improve your decision making.
also you will have read the defense more and you will be forced to play better defense which all will help you improve your overall game.
same goes for special teams tough.

just saying this tough cause i played all madden for years and i have to say im not that bad @ the game Very Happy

I don't know about anyone else, but on All Madden I can pass and defend ok, but rushing is just impossible

All Madden Sound good, would make things much more interesting, Especially with the teams who have 5 or 6 CPU game a season.

I've heard though that when you switch to All-Madden in the online franchise there isn't actually any difference from the All-Pro setting.

Not sure if thats true.

Hmm. Think that the CPU controlled players on your team actually have a change. I played in an All-Madden league on MaddenSchool.com. I did see a little bit of a change. But have to agree with TBT your rush game is nearly impossible

Ok, there is nothing worse than a CPU game, (well sometimes they can be good if you are on a losing streak) but who here would like to be playing the CPU in the playoffs, I know I wouldn't. Im just putting this out there, Im not sure if others have the same thoughts as me. The best thing about Madden is the online games against people all over the world, and Im sure some of the best ones would be in an online franchise post season, I just think that if you make the CPU good enough to make the playoffs, it make make it then if it does then you just have a boring post season (I believe) if you are playing them. These are just my opinions on the matter.
