Week 12 Reports

Post by Juddy on Sun 01 Apr 2012, 3:53 pm

Oakland Raiders 42 - 21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Raiders faced stiff competition in the form of the 7-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers but ultimately the precision of Pryor kept the autumn wind blustering through the Coliseum. The game saw Pryor climb past 40 touchdowns on the season, a stat made even more impressive when considering he has only played in 10 games. It was not all good from Oakland as their secondary continued to struggle dropping multiple interception chances and batting down passes that could have been picked off. Despite these woes the Bucc’s were forced to work hard for their yards and were limited to under 4 yards a carry on the ground. This all resulted into a familiar scene as Tampa Bay were simply unable to keep up with the fire power of the Raiders’ aerial attack.

The lone high point for Tampa Bay was a 38 yard touchdown grab by Mike Williams which was made possible by a brilliant juke after the catch. Receivers Ford and Finley yet again stood out for Oakland but the game ball was handed to Quarterback Pryor for his efforts - 23/24 374 Yards 6 Touchdowns 0 Interceptions.

Another stiff test awaits the Raiders next week in the form of the Ravens, a contest which will see the EAFL’s top offence face off against the top defence.

Steelers vs. Browns (CPU Game)

Post by super on Tue 03 Apr 2012, 1:30 pm

Steelers vs. Browns (CPU Game)

Not much of a game. The Brown missed the leadership of coach Dawg as Bress was way off the mark throwing 5 interceptions which lead to an easy win for the Steelers. The Steelers got a commanding lead early and then controlled the line-of-scrimmage with the run game to work the clock and get the win with a final score of 33 to 14. With Mendenhall out with a career ending injury back-up Redmond stepped-up with 205yrs. rushing for the day.

The Steelers had a rough start to the season going 2 – 5 in their first 7 games, but have since turned it around with a 4 game winning streak that puts them at 6-5 and back in the play-off hunt. Meanwhile the Browns have had a great season so far with a record of 7 – 4 they pretty much in control of there own destiny. Coach Dawg said ‘We’ve spent the last 3 seasons re-building this team and now we have the talent that stacks-up with the best - This is our year to get to the playoffs”.
